Ronaldo’s agent offers his services again to an English club

Chelsea once again had the chance to sign Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo after Jorge Mendes contacted the Blues about the 37-year-old’s transfer.
Ronaldo is keen to leave Old Trafford and told the club in July that he wanted to join a club in the Champions League.
While the veteran prefers to travel abroad, the offers were few, with the only one coming from Saudi Arabia.
Chelsea appeared to be the most likely option in late July, after Mendes held talks with Blues owner Todd Boehle to discuss the possibility of moving the former Real Madrid star to Stamford Bridge.
However, Thomas Tuchel was reluctant to agree to the deal, despite the departure of Romelu Lukaku and his return to Inter Milan.
But Chelsea have so far failed to boost the striker’s position, with Raheem Sterling being considered a winger in the Tuchel system.
Barcelona are seeking around £30m to sell Pierre-Emerick Aubameyen to Chelsea, who signed for free just six months ago.
With time running out, Chelsea is now seeking to consolidate its strength, as the English newspaper “The Independent” reported that Chelsea have a chance again to win the services of Ronaldo.
The newspaper pointed out that Jorge Mendes contacted Chelsea officials again in order to present Ronaldo at the London club’s table.
Tuchel is believed to still have the same reservations about signing Ronaldo as he did earlier in the summer, but it remains to be seen if his resolve has been weakened by the fact that the club have failed to bolster their attacking position thus far.
